Different Projects
Custom engraved Granite, Slate, Marble, River Rocks, Brick Pavers, just about any type of stone... as long as it is fairly smooth. The monument people do the big stuff, I do the little stuff, up to about 100 lbs. If you have a special stone you want engraved, contact me and we'll see what we can do. I engrave river rocks as small as 3-4", up to about 20", as the river rocks can get heavy pretty quickly. Names, Tributes, Columbarium Engraving, Wedding Names/date, Family Stones, Pet Memorials, Slate Plaques, School rocks, Brick Paver projects- a great fundraiser, you name it. To start, I'm no longer at the Farmers Market. Was there most Saturdays for 15 years. I did not agree with the changes that took place a few years back, so, I'm no longer there. In fact, I'm mostly concentrating on my regular commercial customers, which takes up most of my time. Doing no custom river rock orders! So, if you do try to contact me, you may not get a response. The Process
Let me start out by saying that I do all the engraving myself. That way I don't have to worry about whether it's going to be done right. My stones are engraved using the "sandblast" method. The same method the monument people use. After blasting the letters, I "blacken" (or color) the engraving with a special monument paint. It is specially formulated for the monument industry. The finished product is a professional, lasting, engraving. I am limited somewhat because of the sandblast process, as far as detail, and how small the lettering can be. But, it does a pretty darn good job!
